Inspiration – Chanel & Brooklyn Tweed

Looking at Chanel’s Spring 2015 collection got me thinking about structure.  Maybe it’s a juxtaposition of the fact that Gisele is barefoot in this tailored suit that brought out the softness with a tailored feel.

Jared at Brooklyn Tweed talked about that very same idea. He drew from bronze sculpture with soft fabric shapes to come up with Carpeaux.  Brioche brings the necessary structure and the form that was designed, brings all the tailored lines together for a beautiful back.

As for the front, I would love to alter the neckline to include the sharp v and double breasted closure.

Do you think Of that soft yet structured look?  Would a suit jacket work as a knitted garment?
